(Genuine Granite & Marble)
Granite and marble are the natural choice for individuals who desire something really unique in counter tops, vanity tops, showers, floors, and other elements of the home.
When you choose the natural stone, you are assured that no other home in the world will have stone that is an exact duplicate. Don't settle for anything less.
Natural stone is durable, beautiful, easy to maintain, and will last a lifetime. Whether you are building a new home or remodeling and older one, there is no substitute for natural stone. Creative Countertops seals all natural stone with a 15 year sealer.
What makes Genuine Granite and Marble Different?
In a word, time. It take millions, if not billions of years for Mother Nature to create natural stone. They include underground springs, mineral deposits, earth shifts, temperature, natural solutions in the earth, and the pressure exerted in these elements over time. There is no way to duplicate these factors in a laboratory or manufacturing environment. Because of the vast differences in the conditions that created the stone, every block extracted from the earth is different. The hand of man has played no role in the process. Even after the stone has been removed from the quarry, there is little human intervention, except for the cutting and polishing ( which brings out all the uniqueness and natural beauty) ; nothing is done to alter the natural state of the stone. That's why the number of different colors and patterns of natural stone is limitless. True, some common types of stone have a similar "look," however, but no two pieces are exactly alike — your selection is unique, unlike anything else in the world!
- GRANITE: Granite is one of the hardest materials on earth. It is long lasting, durable, and available in an array of colors and textures. It remains the top choice for kitchen counter tops. Because of it's exceptional strength, granite is well suited for exterior applications such as cladding, paving, and curbing, outperforming other materials in maintenance, physical characteristics, and life span. - MARBLE: Marble's beauty and elegance make it a popular choice for residential and commercial projects. Marble features veining patterns and colors that add a sophisticated element to any design. Because of it's beauty, ease of maintenance and imperviousness to moisture, marble is an ideal choice for floors, wall coverings, tabletops, as well as bathroom walls, floors, vanity tops, tub decks and showers.
A Wise Investment
The fact is, natural stone, with all of its inherent qualities, represents one of the great values in new construction and remodeling arenas. In most cases, marble and granite are less expensive than other premium materials. You can't go wrong selecting natural stone. Natural stone adds value to a home when it's time to sell! According to Remodeling Magazine's 2004 Cost vs. Value Report, natural stone recovered between 80 to 86 percent of its remodeling cost at the time of resale.
Easy to Clean!
That's one of the major advantages. Warm water, mild dishwashing liquid and a soft cloth are all that is needed to maintain most natural stone surfaces and to preserve its beauty for years to come. In a case of an unfortunate stain, it can usually be removed with a poultice mixture obtained from natural stone suppliers. Many natural stones do not need to be sealed, although many are for customer peace of mind and for an additional level of protection.
Selecting Your Natural Stone
- Select a color and pattern that fits your design needs. Initial selection from a sample should be followed by an inspection of the actual slab.
- Select an edge treatment that is compatible with the style and look of your kitchen or bath.
- Select a finish that is appropriate for the application. There are a wide range of options available each offering a distinct appearance.

Granite is one of the oldest and most durable building products available, and will far outlast the building in which it's installed. It has become the material of choice for today's luxury homes and offices because of its enduring beauty, and because no synthetic material can yet compare to its elegance and performance.
Unlike synthetics, granite presents a surface depth that seems almost three-dimensional. It has a luminance that's absent from other surfaces. Granite creates an immediate impression of elegance, and is considered a definite plus on any real estate broker's checklist.

There are thousands of choices for tile in every imaginable shape, color and texture. The best way to conquer the world of tile is to divide it into categories, the way the pros do, which will enable you to figure out what type of tile is bets for your project.
Different Types Of Tile
Glazed Ceramic Tile — Ceramic tiles are molded by hand from wet clay or machine-pressed using dry clay powder. It is united by a glass hard glaze that comes in a wide variety of colors and finishes. Glazed ceramic tiles are the obvious choice for walls in bathrooms, kitchens and laundry areas, because they are nonporous, hygienic, and very easy to clean. It will last a lifetime and is one of the quickest ways to add value to your home.
Porcelain Tile — Porcelain tiles are machine-pressed from white clay and feldspar, and then fired at more than 2,000 degrees F. It is a superior product, compared to ceramic tiles, in terms of value and durability. Porcelain is an ideal choice for installation in any climate, interior and exterior, because of its strength and very low water absorption.
Quarry Tile — Quarry tiles are machine made using wet clay and produced in large quantities. This type of tile is extremely similar to ceramic tiles with the exception that they are unglazed. Because they are mass produced and unglazed, these tend to be the least expensive tiles on the market.
Terra-Cotta Tile — Like quarry tiles, terra-cotta tiles are made from pure clay, and most often without color or glaze. These tiles are typically hand molded, which means you can expect to find a natural variation in size and shape.
Natural Stone Tile — Throughout history natural stone has been used for its strength and beauty. Increasingly popular throughout the home, natural stone is becoming more affordable due to improved quarrying and processing techniques.
Granite — One of the hardest natural stone — granite comes in many colors. It's made up of mainly of quartz and Feldspars with various accessory minerals.
Limestone — Limestone is the result of bone and shell fragments collecting under water and being compressed. Limestone is extremely soft, which means it can be easily scratched.
Travertine — Cut from a deeply pitted form of limestone caused by underground springs, travertine tiles are often filled with resin or marble dust cement.
Marble — Marble has two defining qualities: a striated appearance and an ability to be polished to a glass like shine. Marble tiles are very durable but being softer than granite it can show scratches.
Slate — Manufactures split blocks of stone along its natural fault lines and then cut the sheets into tiles. The resulting cleft surface is rough and imperfect which makes a good non-slip walking surface.
Quartzite — Essentially sand that's been pressed into stone, quartzite is one of the hardest stones in the world. Quartzite tiles come with a cleft face like slate but are less likely to chip.
Glass — Glass is a material that is increasingly being used by designers and manufacturers to bring light and space into our homes. By reflecting light, glass tile gives a unique and eye catching finish. Glass tile has a quality where they appear luminous, apparently glowing from within, and make the most of he available light by reflecting it back into the rooms. Glass tiles are very tough. They will withstand water and chemicals and do not fade.
Mosaics — Any grid of smallish tiles that work together to create a whole is a mosaic. You can buy a variety of mosaics pre-assembled on mesh backing, typically as 12'x12' squares making their installation about as easy as a standard tile.
Decorative — Any highly ornamental tile that might be brightly colored, painted with an image or pattern, embossed or otherwise textured.
Trim Pieces — Trim tiles finish off a tiled surfaces' exposed edge, giving the job a professional look. Trim tiles are the solutions to the three-dimensional problems and the edges and corners of tiles jobs. Choose from an almost endless selection of bullnose, chair rail or baseboard trim pieces.
Metal — Metals have always been highly valued for their sense of performance and strength. Once fairly rare as a finish for decorating, the gleam of metal, from opulent brass, gold, or copper colors to cooler silver, steel and platinum, is now available in tile surfaces.
Solid surface is a hard synthetic material (polyester or acrylic) with natural fillers, primarily used for horizontal countertops and vertical wall applications, e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, service counters, tub and shower walls, etc.

What is a standard counter?
Due to the available sizes of sheet material, a "standard" countertop is typically a solid color, is 24" deep, has a 4" set-on backsplash, a simple 2" edge, and a top mount sink and/or cook top cutout. It is important to understand that even though "standard" counters are substantially less expensive that an "upgraded" counter, the same level of craftsmanship should be apparent on both types of counters.
What is an "upgraded" counter?
Counters are only limited by your creativity and budget. Depending on your priorities, coved backsplashes, full-height backsplashes, extra-wide peninsulas, seamed-in sinks, color lines, inlays, sandblasting, and large edges are all available at additional charge.
Is solid surface better than granite?
Solid surface and granite are both mid to high-end countertop materials. Typically, individuals interested in a specific "look" that is only available in a natural stone will not necessarily be happy with a compromise. However, solid surface materials offer numerous advantages to natural stone in terms of quality, design, care and maintenance, and cost.
How does solid surface compare to granite in price?
A standard counter typically costs substantially less in solid surface material. However, with numerous upgrades, a well-crafted solid surface counter costs about the same as a well-crafted granite counter.
What kind of sink can I use with a solid surface counter?
Any kind you like! At the high-end in terms of quality and price, you can use a seamed-in solid surface sink that is covered by the same warranty as the countertop material. In the mid range, is a high-quality stainless steel or cast iron undercount sink. On the low-end, is a good quality stainless steel or cast iron top mount sink.
Tub & shower surrounds

There is a tremendous color selection to choose from our leading suppliers like Corian, LG HI-MACS & Staron. The material is non-porous and ultra sanitary as well as really easy to maintain. There are no grout lines to clean.
To go with the solid surface surround for shower & bath, we recommend our Transolid shower pans. They are available in 12 decor colors and a "Lifetime Warranty." They are made from a two step molding process of solid surface material and a polymer based substrate. Cleaning is as easy as wiping with a damp cloth or sponge. Basic stains can be removed with mild detergent & Scotch Brite pad.
